Origami cranes at my local library.
The origami crane spans several cultures and centuries as a symbol of peace, happiness, recovery, joy, and love.
In Japan, the crane as a mystical creature and is believed to live for a thousand years. Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami cranes (in Japanese, called “Senbazuru”), ones wish would come true. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times.
