Spirit Rock joyfully sends mettā to beloved Buddhist elder Thich Nhat Hanh in celebration of his 94th birthday today. A teacher to Jack Kornfield and many in our community, and a founder of the modern Engaged Buddhist movement, Thay (Vietnamese for venerable teacher) continues to inspire people around the world through his dedication to peace, nonviolence, and liberation for all beings. Our gratitude for his teaching and example is boundless, and we wish him and the worldwide Plum Village community every good blessing.
