Along my walk is a lovely stretch with this hardy vine. I am not sure what it is. Today, i saw a couple eating one. They said it reminded them of a similar fruit from El Salvador.
It’s the size of a small apricot, has a smooth skin that is apricot-orange. When it is hanging, it almost feels empty inside. It is very easy to open with your fingers. Once open you can see deep red seeds inside grouped together like of those from a pomegranate.
